            Duane and Sandy, members of By Grace, have enjoyed being part of prison ministry for over twenty years. Beginning in 1988, we had the privilege to meet and travel with Don & Mary Stoll, who at that time were part of Gospel Echoes Prison Ministry, later forming the Stoll Family Prison Ministries.   For over five years we were privileged to enter the prisons across the state of Indiana to minister to those confined behind prison bars and razor-wire fences. We have seen God touch the lives of many whom we wouldn't have met had we not had the privilege of going into the prisons.
            Each of us has an impact on someone’s life -- maybe through a word we have spoken, the way we responded in a tough situation, or maybe just how we live our everyday lives. What we choose to do with our lives can make a difference in other people’s lives.
            Are we listening to the voice of God and following His call? Or, are we doing what we want to do and thinking only of ourselves? As we go through this life here on earth, we are going to have opportunities to make an impact on others. We may never know, until we reach Heaven, the influence we have made on someone’s life. I believe that by listening to the voice of God and being dedicated to the work of prison ministry, we can have a positive impact for Christ on the lives of those we meet behind prison bars.
            There are many people who can testify that their lives have definitely been impacted for the glory of God through prison ministry. God is faithful and By Grace would love to share with you just what He has done for us.
